Read 1 Chronicles 5-8

“The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers, and had many sons and grandsons, 150 of them. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.” 1 Chronicles 8:40

As I mentioned yesterday, 1st Chronicles has a lot of names; LOTS of Names! I’ve read through the Bible 40+ times and still read though (not skip) sections like this. And I find things I haven’t seen before, like this verse from today. Here we have Ulam, a Benjamite, who raised his sons to be warriors. They were Mighty Men, primarily Archers. As a warring Nation, this was a good thing. He also had “many sons and grandsons, 150 of them”! I’m sure most of them served in the Army.

The Point? He is remembered for the positive impact he had on making his Nation great. May we Fathers try to do the same!
