“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:13
As John ends his letter, he summarizes with this statement, “so that you may know that you have eternal life”. J.C. Ryle, an English Pastor during the 1800s, wrote a Tract called “Are You Born Again?” based on this Book. In it, he utilizes 6 points that address today’s verse (Email me if you’d like a copy). As I’ve mentioned several times this year, I have a Great Burden for those who confess Christ, but may not be ready to meet Him on Judgement Day.
