“and commanded Judah to seek the Lord God of their fathers and to observe the law and the commandment.” 2 Chronicles 14:4
It had been just 20 years since Solomon had ruled. Already, the Nation had been plunged back into Idolatry. Now, his great grandson, King Asa, has begun to reign. We are told he “did good and right in the sight of the Lord his God”. This not only meant personal heart revival, but also an attempt to revive his Nation. Today we read, he “commanded” his people to seek God and obey Him. His first and primary duty, as his people’s Leader, was to Lead them back to God.
Today, we have many King Asa’s doing the same. They might be our Pastors, Sunday School Teachers, YouTube Preachers, or those in Books we read. Are we listening?
