“”With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.” 2 Chronicles 32:8
Hezekiah is such an inspiration! From Day 1, he devoted himself to the reform of Judah and the undoing of all that his wicked father had done. Then at the beginning of Chapter 32 we are told “After these acts of faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah”. But rather then despair, these words of encouragement were the antidote that his people both needed and took to heart.
As we face our own Trying Times and Enemies, the same holds true for us. No matter who we face in our battle, they only have “an arm of flesh” and are no match for “the Lord our God”! May this be a Word of Encouragement for all of us in these Difficult Days!!!
