“When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations.” Deuteronomy 18:9
As we read yesterday, Israel were a Holy People. They were to be separate from the rest of the World. Though these very people would come under God’s Judgement, Israel is warned not “to imitate the detestable things of those nations”.
We live in similar times. We live among the Nations of the World that will soon be under the Wrath of God. We are warned in 1 John “Do not love the world nor the things in the world.” As we all know, the Jews would not follow this Command and experience God’s Judgement themselves. Will we? May God deliver us and give us Holy Hearts!!!
