Moses has been rehearsing to Israel events that took place some 40 years earlier. Here, he has just reiterated his 2nd 40 days and 40 nights on Mount Sinai where God provided a 2nd set of the 10 Commandments. Now he summarizes to the People what they need to know before entering Canaan. This is the Heart of True Christianity! Fearing God, Walking in His Ways, and Loving Him Supremely! And just to be clear, this does not separate us from Obedience to His Law. Continue into verse 13 and see what I mean!!! A Heart that has truly been changed, Loves His Law!
