“You shall overlay it with pure gold” Exodus 25:11
God speaks to Moses and gives him specific instructions in building the Tabernacle where He “would dwell among them”. The 1st item is the Ark, that container of the Stone Tablets with the 10 Commandments written on them. Here, as He describes how it is to be made, tells them to “overlay it with pure gold”; the most precious and valuable of all things. And not only the Ark, but the Lid (Mercy Seat) upon the Ark, the Angels on that Seat, and the Boards that made up the Room we call Holy of Holies! How could God not be more clear in pointing out to us the Value and Significance of those 10 Words? May God give us Eyes to See!!!
