“Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.” Exodus 33:11
During Israel’s journey through the Wilderness, Moses would take a tent and “pitch it outside the camp”. It was called the Tent of Meeting. It was set up for people that wanted to seek the Lord. We are told when Moses went there, the Pillar of Cloud would descend to the Tent. In today’s verse, it describes what took place.
For the Christian, we have this opportunity every day! When we open our Bibles and read, we are just like Moses hearing God speak. When we take time to pray, we respond. May this encourage our hearts to seek God in our own Tent of Meeting today!
