Read Genesis 31-33

“Then he said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”” Genesis 32:26

This is the story of Jacob’s encounter with the Angel at the Jabbok River. Esau is coming with 400 men and Jacob fears the worst; a vengeful brother who will kill both him and his family. After helping his family cross the river, we are told that “Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak”. This “man”, it turns out, was an Angel sent by God to help and bless him; and Jacob made sure of that by refusing to let him go until he received the blessing. What an example for us as we pray! Do we “wrestle” with God in prayer? We should,…if we would have our Answers!!!
