“Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14
Right up with Romans 12, this is one of my favorite Chapters! I love the imagery of God working with His children as a loving Father. His spirit is seen in the command to – “Pursue Sanctification”! Notice the previous phrases that culminate in this Verse: “He scourges EVERY son whom He receives”, “for what son is there whom his father DOES NOT discipline?” and “ALL have become partakers”. So, when you reach Verse 14 you are not surprised by its bluntness! Does this characterize you? It should!
