“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” James 1:22
Imagine growing up in a home where your oldest brother is the Son of God; a Perfect Boy, Teenager, and Man! This is the home that James grew up in. If there was anyone that understood Jesus, it was him. And if there was anyone that understood his own Sin, it was him.
He also understood Salvation. In Verse 1 he calls himself a Slave of Christ, and acknowledges Jesus as his Lord. So, it’s no surprise when he makes this statement in Verse 22, he does not have a “Works Righteousness” mentality, but a Sober and Real view of what Salvation is all about! If you want to see more, keep reading. In Chapter 2, he goes into much further detail!!!
