“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Hebrews 8:10
If you are not familiar with Hebrews, this is one of the Main Points of the Book. The writer contrasts the Old and New Covenants using this verse from Jeremiah 31. The gist of his point is this: The Law (Old Covenant) cannot save, it can only condemn, but Grace (New Covenant) changes the Heart. 1st, it forgives our Sin, 2nd, it gives us a New Heart. Because we are still Sinners, we fail; but Christ forgives us. Because we have a New Heart, we get back up and keep walking obediently. Do you have a New Covenant Heart? If so, God’s Law has been written on it with a desire to keep it!
