Achan’s Sin! Sermons could be preached on this. Let this one thought be ours today. Achan loved silver, gold, and clothing more than he loved God. For this he brought God’s Judgement down on himself, his family, and all of Israel. He and his family were stoned, and Israel lost 36 men in the battle of Ai because God was not with them.
Our Sin has serious implications. It not only brings Judgement on us, it can come to our Homes, our Jobs, and even our Church. Do you have an Achan Sin that you’re hiding? We MUST be Ruthless in dealing with every Temptation and seek to put it to death. If not, we may experience our Father’s stern, but loving Hand of Judgement!!!
